PlaniX is an easy to learn cost-efficient programming tool, that helps manufacturing companies to schedule the short/middle-term operating plan that best meets customer demands, respecting production capacity and constraints. The activities to be carried out are assigned sequentially to production resources according to their production capacity, to secondary resources availability (materials, users, equipment…) and to the requested urgency (delivery date, priorities…). The user can modify scheduling criteria (ASAP, ALAP) and select the rules according to which the application engine works. It is possible to define order / operation groupings in order to optimize set up times and production orders and different production orders operations sequencing. Like in all FPS products, the user interface, through graphic (Gantt charts) and analytical representations, constitutes a powerful support to analyze and evaluate results and to decide possible modifications. PlaniX provides the user with the possibility of carrying out simulations starting from the current situation, launching different scheduling processes with different capacity and planning parameters (restrictions, priorities, resources…) and comparing the plans thus obtained both directly and with the use of appropriate evaluation indexes (KPI); the resulting optimal plan will be released and made operative.
PlaniX is an I.S.I. developed SW, natively integrable with FPS suite products. I.S.I. analysts and designers have put their twenty year old expertise, developed on diverse plants and in consultancy activities alongside users, into PlaniX in order to develop a product that can constitute a real working tool and a valid support for the workshop staff that daily face production problems.
